BIO

Olga Konjuh-Shaprova is a contemporary mosaic artist and a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, she graduated from an Industrial and Civil Construction college, working in drafting and design. In 2004, Olga moved to California, pursuing painting and mosaic art outside academia, developing her authentic visual language free from classical canons. She participated in Bay Area exhibitions, including Museum of Northern California Art. She explores color, form, and texture through direct, indirect, and her own 3D techniques. Using vibrant stained glass and mixed media Olga's art emphasizes physical, textured materials, storytelling, and visual self-expression, blending Russian heritage with California inspiration. Her works are filled with intricate details, celebrating the beauty of the natural world and humanity's connection to it.
